August 31, 2026 – APWF Groundbreaking: Ceremonial groundbreaking for the OneWater Nevada Advanced Purified Water Facility, Nevada’s first indirect potable reuse facility. The event celebrated construction of a drought-resilient water supply project and included regional leaders, project partners, stakeholders, and community representatives.
August 3, 2026 —Rotary Presentation – Rotary Club of Reno: Delivered a presentation on TMWA’s 25-year history, local water stewardship, and the role of the Advanced Purified Water Facility in securing future water supplies.
July 18, 2026 – Be My Neighbor Day: Education Trailer on scene with table-top water treatment demonstrations, educational materials, bottled potable water samples, and subject matter experts on hand to answer questions. The event was at Reno’s Idlewild Park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
May 29, 2026 – Water Palooza (elementary education event): TMWA staff lead several sessions of table-top, water-treatment method demonstrations for students at Risley Elementary School.
May 14, 2026 Presentation to the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP): City of Reno and TMWA staff lead the third in a series of discussions outlining the Advanced Purified Water Facility project and its value in terms of water resource development and wastewater management.
May 12, 2026 Presentation to the Builders Association of Norther Nevada: City of Reno and TMWA staff lead the second in a series of discussions outlining the Advanced Purified Water Facility project and its value in terms of water resource development and wastewater management.
May 9, 2026 – Smart About Water Day: This annual, TMWA-lead event covered all facets of regional water resource management. For the fourth year there was a OneWater Nevada education trailer with displays, treatment demonstrations, and handouts. Subject Mater Experts also gave an APWF project presentation and answered questions about A+ Advanced Purified Water.
May 7, 2026 Associated General Contractors/Associated Builders & Contractors: City of Reno and TMWA staff lead the first in a series of discussions outlining the Advanced Purified Water Facility project and its value in terms of water resource development and wastewater management.
April 23, 2026 – TMCC Earth Day: TMWA staff will run an informational table outlining the technology and reasoning behind water reuse in general and the Advanced Purified Water Facility in particular.
